The announcement of Shingo Yabuki in KOF XV was received with a lot of acclaims from the fans. Although he's been absent as a playable character from the series since XI, he continued to show up either as a cameo in subsequent games or even in other medias. Such as his starring role in the KOF Gaiden Manga, where his character evolved in a surprising direction. But is acquiring the use of the blue flame is the right thing for his character's evolution?
