Plastic tanks last much longer than concrete tanks because the gases do not break them down like concrete. They are also more maneuverable in difficult lots where concrete tanks can't be delivered.

The #1 concern with plastic tanks is the possibility of them floating out of the ground in a high water table situation. However, when installed with the correct anti-buoyancy procedures, this possibility is completely eliminated.
