Bike and Wine Tour in the Wachau Valley - Austria

Описание к видео Bike and Wine Tour in the Wachau Valley - Austria

About 50 miles west of Vienna Austria you will find the famous Wachau Valley. (Pronouced VAHAU)
It extends for about 20 miles between the medieval towns of Krems and Melk. A series of gentle sloping hills bathed by the mighty Danube river. That's where we set out on our memorable Bike and Wine tour with the help of our lovely guide Nico, from Vienna Explorer.
Our path followed the Danube river and we passed infinite amounts of family owned grapevines that were only interrupted by quaint little towns with terra-cotta roof houses and Baroque church steeples. Legend has it that it was the Celts who planted the first grapevines here sometime around the fifth century B.C. This beautiful valley not only has great wine, but it also has lots of history.
The video that follows is just a glimpse of our experience. If you enjoy it, leave a comment and share it with friends.
Cheers! Or as they say it in Austria "Prost!"
