Sonoma - Napa Valley - Biking To Historic Wineries - Buena Vista And Sebastiani Wineries

Описание к видео Sonoma - Napa Valley - Biking To Historic Wineries - Buena Vista And Sebastiani Wineries

Scenic virtual ride though vineyards along the Sonoma bike trail and a few back roads to Landmark Buena Vista Winery for some wine tasting and a bonus quick look at Sebastiani Winery, Sonoma State Historic Park and the Train Depot Museum along the way.

Buena Vista Winery
is the oldest winery in California. Established in 1857 soon after California became a US State. It is built on a mountainside just 2 miles outside the city of Sonoma Town Square on a dead end road making it peaceful, laid back and relaxing wine tasting experience. The address is 18000 Old Winery Road. Its open from 11 - 5 and 10 to 5 weekends making it open later than most wineries. Last seating is 3:30 but I've read reviews of some flexibility. The winery was very eager to make my wine tasting experience the absolute best possible catering to what people love. The current release flight of 5 tasting is $25 and $40 for the reserve in the historic press house tasting room (where I was). Tastings are available outdoors and in the Champagne rooms. Cheese plates are available.

Depot Park
Only a block from the Historic Sonoma Plaza sits the 4.6 acre Depot Park located at 270-284 First Street West. Depot Park is home to the Depot Park Museum. The park is located adjacent to the scenic Bike Path that runs through town. The amenities include: Picnic Tables, Children’s Playground, Volley Ball Courts, Bocce Ball Courts, Depot Park Museum and Public Restrooms.

Sonoma State Historical Park
Unlike most parks with a single plot of land and a continuous boundary, Sonoma State Historic Park is a scattering of historical attractions consisting of six midtown locations near Sonoma's Plaza. Off the Sonoma Plaza are: Mission San Francisco Solano, the Blue Wing Inn, Sonoma Barracks, the Toscano Hotel & Kitchen, and the Servants Quarters (the remains of La Casa Grande). General Vallejo's Home, also called Lachryma Montis, is less than a mile west of the Plaza. It was the estate of General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, Military Commander and Director of Colonization of the Northern Frontier and founder of Pueblo de Sonoma. The headquarters of Vallejo's Petaluma Adobe Rancho is also preserved as a separate unit of the State Park system and can be visited the same day with paid admission to Sonoma State Historic Park.

Free Public parking is located behind the Sonoma Barracks off of First Street West. Public restrooms are located in the Sonoma BarracksCourtyard.

The Sonoma Plaza offers a variety of restaurants, shops and the Sonoma Valley Visitor's Bureau.
