This padam is from the story Keechakavadham. The pandavas are living in disguise in the virada kingdom during their exile when keechaka chances upon Draupadi who is living in disguise as the sairandhri of Queen Sudeshna. Keechaka conveys his desire for sairandhri . but she warns him of the consequences. But striken by lust keechaka directs his sister Sudeshna to send Sairandhri to his palace one day. In this scene, Sairandhri, forced by sudeshana , comes to keechakas palace as he is waiting eagerly for her. Keechaka tries to entice her but sairandhri gets angry. Keechaka turns violent. Sairandhri manages to run away.
