The crew prepare for the Lunar Orbit Insertion Burn (LOI). The contingency orbit checklist is read up to the crew, the crew make early lunar observations, the spacecraft is turned ready for a scheduled TV show, which is subsequently cancelled due to lighting issues. The LOI burn takes pplace and the crew establishes communications with Houston on AOS.
