Maxwell Street Klezmer Band: Touring Demo 2024-2025

Chicago's Maxwell Street Klezmer Band is one of the longest-playing klezmer revival bands in the United States. Featuring founding members and gaining new talent along the way, the band has been playing continuously since it was founded in 1983 by Lori Lippitz.

After a long pandemic pause, Maxwell Street is touring again. Here are samples of its show, featuring Lisa Fishman, who divides her time between shows like "Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish" in New York and concerts; Cantor Pavel Roytman; violinist and bandleader Alex Koffman; and Shelley Yoelin, founding clarinetist.
