Batman was an enormous event for UK cinemas in the summer of 1989 - so big that the BBFC needed to create a new certificate (12) to ensure it was seen by the largest possible audience.

Cannon cinemas were the place to go for Warner movies in those days, so that's where we're off to this time.

Thanks to Denis-Carl Robidoux for two of the trailers, which come from his impressive 35mm collection!
