Well, here it is: The proof that the serpent inside Gaia Rock is defeatable although no ray is weakening it. But holy shit was this battle difficult, this was at least my 10th try (I stopped counting after a while). ._.
I'll be happy about any comment and rating you'll submit :)

The only way to defeat the serpent without using a single ray is making two summon turns. The first for boosting your elemental strength, the second to defeat the dragon. Well, Aaron didn't need to summon Judgement twice because Meteor, Thor and Boreas deal about 3100 damage during the second summon turn. Judgement deals about 465 damage even without any elemental strength boost, so this battle ends quite fast.

But: The first problem is setting all the necessary Djinni on stand-by, because for three turns you won't have Wish or Wish Well. You'll see how it was doable, and it was REALLY close ... I was very relieved when Serpent finally took its last breath. And the second problem: If a character dies, the boost of his or her elemental strenght fades so you'll have to repeat his or her first summorn turn. Reviving, on the other hand, could be a problem, too, if Piers, for example, dies or someone else after Piers having unleashed his second Djinni. Moreover, Serpent uses Mighty Press, which sometimes kills the attacked character (although it's not that likely, thank God).
It may be even possible in Hard Mode. The Hardmode-Serpent has 5304 life points, and summoning all four summons won't be enough, but it is possible to reduce Serpent's elemental defense. For sure with the djinni Sour (although the probability is fairly low ...), but maybe also with the psynergy Weaken which also reduces the opponent's elemental resistence (but the probability is low, too).
