Born in London, England, in 1981, James Blackshaw is a guitarist and composer who writes long-form pieces primarily for solo 12-string guitar. His style is heavily influenced by minimalist composers and European classical music, incorporating overtones, drones and repeating patterns.
Recorded in one take 11/12/2003 at No Recording Studios, Rayleigh.
This was sold at gigs by the artist and comes in a handmade sleeve with a handmade insert. "This recording is for Miss Rozzie Starr".Limited Edition of 80 copies. Released on CDr in 2004 by Celebrate Psi Phenomenon (label run by Campbell James Kneale of Black Boned Angel/Birchville Cat Motel fame), featuring their trademark ornamented artwork (this time a tablecloth, apparently).
