Use all mirrors to check traffic beside and behind you. Glance in your mirrors often. When you are looking in a mirror, you are not looking ahead. Do not glance in mirrors for more than one second at a time. When you are travelling at 60 km/h, you will have travelled nearly 17 metres in one second. At 90 km/h, you will travel 25 metres in one second. So glance quickly at all mirrors and back at the road
