How to remove gas tank on Husqvarna garden tractor model ts354xd

I ended up buying a new one as leak was still there after plastic weld I did on the fuel tank.

This is how to remove gas tank on Husqvarna garden tractor ts354xd but should be nearly same for other models.You need to be able to lift this hood in the back just high enough to slide out the tank.

See parts manual for closer look at part 58 that needs taken out to lift up hood and pull out gas tank . It has 4 bolts on top under the seat (2 are holding the seat springs) and also 4 side bolts ( 2 on each site) . Part 58 sits on top of gas tank itself. It will slide out with the tank when you pull the tank out.

To lift hood high enough to slide out tank you also need to take out the 6 bolts at bottom of fender next to steering wheel out. You need to first take out the battery case out (2 bolts I think) to get to the 6 bolts at bottom fender near steering wheel.


 Finally, take off the seat to make lifting it lighter. Then disconnect the fuel hose and evap hose on the tank, pull up back fender hood with one hand and slide tank out with other hand. I did it all myself and it took a few hours. Leaking gas tanks are not a good thing to deal with.
