Launch of ‘Meera & the Disaster Rewind Machine at COP28

On Nov 30, the IASC MHPSS Reference Group released ‘Meera & the Disaster Rewind Machine: How to Protect and Promote Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Context of Crisis’, a story about the integration of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) into Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), in the context of climate change.

The video presents a case illustration that can be used as a basis for discussion and exploration of diverse aspects of MHPSS and DRR integration with diverse stakeholders, including community members, volunteers, professionals and officials.

The video was developed by the Thematic Working Group on ‘Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Crisis’ of the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Reference Group on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in Emergency Settings
