Diversity and Inclusion in Further Education and Training Framework Programme

The DIFET Framework Programme is a collaborative initiative between the City of Dublin Education and Training Board (CDETB) and the School of Education at Trinity College Dublin. Developed in alignment with national priorities, this programme supports the professional development of staff across the Further Education and Training (FET) sector.
Rooted in a shared commitment to equity, inclusion, and educational excellence, the programme equips participants with the knowledge and skills to:

✔ Evaluate key theories related to diversity and inclusion in FET contexts.

✔ Analyse the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and evaluate its potential to create a more inclusive environment for every student.

✔ Engage in meaningful professional dialogue to cultivate a culture of reflective practice and continuous learning across the FET landscape.

Our vision is to lead developments in the evolving landscape of education and to empower educators to respond to the diverse needs of learners and contribute to a more just, inclusive, and sustainable society.
