Japanese artist aus teams up with The Humble Bee to announce the release of their collaborative album Chalybeate, developed from an onsen installation in Ikaho, Japan.
Chalybeate traces its origins to aus’s month long residency in Ikaho Onsen, Gunma, during the autumn of 2024. Initially presented as IKAHO SURROUNDING – AMBIENT ONSEN, a roaming installation spanning eight bathhouses, the work invited visitors to listen while immersed in mineral rich waters. Sounds gathered from bath spaces and the surrounding town were later reworked by The Humble Bee, allowing the textures of stone, water, and steam to slowly surface as a quietly immersive album.

aus が2024年秋に群馬・伊香保温泉に1ヶ月滞在・制作し、現地で公開され大きな話題を呼んだ八湯回遊型インスタレーション「いかほサラウンディング – アンビエント音泉」。この音源をマンチェスターのThe Humble Beeが丸ごと再構築した音泉音浴作品。
