This is the story of the London Necropolis Railway, the train that transported over 200,000 souls to Brookwood Cemetery, the largest burial ground in the world. From hidden platforms at Waterloo to the quiet stations among the graves, we follow the mourners and their coffins through fog and sorrow, through cholera and war, until fire fell from the sky and silenced the line forever.
