Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's ten day forecast video update. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days. Day ten will take us to 19th May - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) We'll have a look at the CFS V2 for the next four weeks taking us to the start of June at the end of the video...

High pressure will dominate the weather in the week ahead bringing mostly dry and fine weather. Temperatures should respond to the strong May sunshine and could reach the mid-20s Celsius by the weekend. Looking ahead to next week, low pressure seems set to develop to the south and west with an increasing risk of heavy showers or thunderstorms followed by spells of rain. Unsettled next week, then, but we do see a few hints within todays model output of high pressure returning by day ten and beyond, so perhaps drier for the final week of May?
