Welcome to Barking Riverside - exploring a new East London development (4K)

Barking Riverside is a new development on the former Barking Power Station on the banks of the Thames in East London. It aims to create 10,000 new homes, schools, improved transport connections including the brand new Barking Riverside station on the Gospel Oak Overground Line. There will be leisure facilities, open spaces and a network on footpaths and cycle ways. It's a partnership between Mayor of London and L&Q - with some properties also being sold by Bellway Homes.
My exploration of the area starts at Barking Riverside Station and follows Fielders Crescent to the Wilds Ecology Centre then loops back to the Thames Clipper jetty on the Thames.
