Life Cycle

Development in Snails: Inside the snails, the miracidia undergo several developmental stages (sporocysts, rediae, and cercariae).

Infection of Fish: The cercariae leave the snails and infect freshwater fish, encysting as metacercariae in the fish's flesh.

Pathogenesis
