I will show how I took my new Ruger American hunting rifle Chambered in 270 WIN and did a custom Camo paint job on the stock in order to spice it up for next deer season. Step one was to take apart the action and clean off and grease or stickers. then I whipped it down with a brillo [ad so the paint would stick better to the stock. Next I cut painters tape and made a random pattern for a black and tan tiger stipe look. After the tan paint dried I took a naturel sponge and dotted dark brown over the stock. I copied this onto the scope and scope covers. Finally I added a clear coat to protect the paint job.
