The activities in our Dance at Home classes range from ballet, jazz, modern, musical theater, tap, improvisation, ballroom and more to engage the participants’ minds and bodies. All activities are designed to be done either seated or standing. We encourage you to modify or adapt any of the movements. Always listen to your body and adjust the movement so it feels right to you. All our activities are designed for anyone living with movement or neurological concerns such as Parkinson’s, Dementia, stroke survivors and Cerebral Palsy, however anyone can participate. The movements are designed to address common concerns such as balance, flexibility, gate and coordination. Though the activities are designed for individuals who may have mobility concerns, you should not attempt to do any of the suggested activities unless you are able to do so SAFELY. If you are in doubt, please contact your physician for guidance. If at any time during this activity you feel any pain or feel any dizziness, stop immediately. If such pain or dizziness persists, contact your healthcare provider. A sturdy chair without arms will allow for a larger range of motion.
