Welcome back to another exciting episode of Britsih Railway from 1959 to 1970. In this episode, we will explore the controversial period highlighted by Dr Beeching's Railway Axe, a crucial event that permanently altered the face of British railways.

Come along and explore the nuances of the Beeching Report and how it affected the train system, the widespread removal of steam engines from the network, the demise of tram systems, and—most significantly—the first Beeching report, which resulted in the closure of one-third of the network.

All the drawings accompanying this series have been done by hand, with pen and pencil, over several weeks, and then simply edited together.
