Most times “flexibility” training isn’t prioritized simply because it isn’t understood.

Maybe this is why “mobility” has become a more popular term and flexibility has become associated with static stretching.

Flexibility and mobility don’t have to be and shouldn’t be separate. They are both elements of getting people incrementally moving better so that they can train harder.

Either way, on the warmup side of things, or what we like to call the prep and prime phases, is one of the biggest areas where confidence and knowledge is lacking for new personal trainers.

If you watch the average gym goer or personal trainer kick off their session, you’ll rarely see more than a few minutes of cardio and a lighter first set. This ends up leading to aches and pains after most training sessions and not feeling “good” until about half way through the training session.

There is a better way - a different world where you leave your workouts actually feeling much better than when you began.
