From the dust of Namibia’s wilderness to the roar of a helicopter overhead. Step into the heart of Namibia’s fight against poaching with our Rhino Dehorning Mission 2025.

This vlog documents an intense week of wildlife conservation, rhino protection, and veterinary medicine in Africa. In collaboration with Wildlife Vets Namibia (Dr. Ulf Tubbesing and Mariska Bijsterbosch) and the Rhino Momma Project, the largest white rhino breeding program in Namibia, is dedicated to saving the species through anti-poaching strategies, breeding programs, and conservation education, giving calves born in Namibia the chance to repopulate not only Africa, but the world. Together we worked to safeguard these endangered giants from poachers.

Across seven days, the team—joined by 10 international delegates, as well as Worldwide Vets founder Gemma, Genie from Media & Marketing, and Lisa from our Ukraine operations—successfully dehorned eight white rhinos. If you’ve worked in wildlife conservation you know, no plan ever goes as planned. The mission also included unexpected wildlife calls, from relocating two lions to working with sable and roan antelope, showcasing the unpredictable reality of conservation work in Africa.

This program goes beyond a RACE-accredited veterinary training course. It’s an opportunity for vets, nurses, and techs to gain hands-on clinical skills in megaherbivore medicine, learn about rhino anatomy and physiology, and experience the challenges of wildlife management in the African bush.

Rhino dehorning is demanding—physically and emotionally—but it remains one of the most effective tools to keep these animals safe for future generations. This vlog captures the dust, sweat, and determination behind the mission to protect rhinos on the frontline of conservation.
