Long walk today mainly over moorland so nothing too difficult. I somehow managed to miss Oddendale Stone Circle which was a bit disappointing but I did visit Gamelands Stone Circle near Orton later. Lots of waymarkers over the moors so no difficulty in finding the route.
Had a quick stop and a bite to eat at Sunbiggin Farm, where there is a wooden summerhouse with a selection of goodies to choose from and an honesty box where you pay. There are some seats to sit on here too which is handy.
There is quite a long slow climb after Smardale Bridge, and although it is not steep, it is quite tiring after a long walk.
