POKEMON CENTER used to be located in the TAKASHIMAYA Departement Store.
That location was not impressively convenient and the store was a little hard to find.
The company decided to open a new and bigger Pokemon Store in 2019 in Shijo-Karasuma!
Happy discovery!

Our name "Miyako from JAPAN" comes from "Miyako" which is the old name for Kyoto, when it was the capital city of Japan.
Kyoto is a wonderful city to discover old Japanese townhouses, Japanese traditional and modern architectures, 1600 Buddhist temples, and 400 Shinto shrines including numerous Unesco heritages.
