On April 25th 2025 (4/25/12), Janet Kuypers introduced the poetry/performance open mike at "the Cafe Gallery" in Chicago @ Gallery Cabaret, which included a larger number of poets reading at the open mike (as well as occasional live music, with Gary playing on he piano), including Bob Rashkow, John, Charlie Newman (Newman from Newark), and Patrick Hurley, and Jeff (a new-comer to the open mike). During the open mike Kuypers read her poem (set with music from Francois Le Roux, the HA!man of South Africa) "Death Takes Many Forms" and "the Hunter and the Fox", where the Hunter and the Fox also had vocals from Esteban Colon in the reading. She also read poems "Broke the Reflection", "On Ashes", "Witnessing Hitler's Reign" and "You Left Me on Siesta Beach" with live piano from Gary, which was a great addition to the live evening of spoken word. She also video recorded John reading Fritz Hamilton's cc&d poem "Let's boms the Greenpeace yacht" (from March 2012 issue of cc&d magazine, which Janet Kuypers edits through Scars Publications, http://scars.tv/ccd), that was also pubished in the cc&d ISBN# colledction book "Cultural Touchstone".
