We've never been early risers, but today April 2nd, we all were like giddy kids as we we were out of bed at 5 A.M. to make sure that 16 lucky dogs could make the drive to the Van Nuys Airport from the Baldwin Park and Downey Shelters so they could catch the Wings of Rescue flight to safety to the no kill Kootenai Humane Society in Idaho! Thanks go out to Sgt Frank Ramos and Danny Ubario of the Downey Shelter, Deb Tittle, Isha Willits, Colin and the amazing Baldwin Park team, Yehuda Netanel of Wings of Rescue, his amazing pilot Anil, Melanie Pozez and the Bark Avenue Foundation team, Debbie Jeffrey and the Kottenai Humane Society - and above all - all of you our Facebook friends who donated to make this flight possible. Altogether we raised $8,500 and saved 121 at risk Los Angeles dogs in all!
