The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a PIL challenging the Centre’s move to link Aadhaar numbers with voter IDs. A bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and AS Oka tagged the PIL with the pending cases challenging the amendments to the Aadhaar Act. The plea has also raised the issue of ‘forcing’ those who have an Aadhaar card to mandatorily furnish the same when seeking inclusion of their name on the voters' list or for modifying details of a voter in the electoral rolls.
