The poetic beauty and pristine clarity of the Gita's Sanskrit verses are unfortunately lost in most verse-by-verse translations, so here the text is presented quarter-by-quarter with a concise translation of each line followed by a simple explanation of the verse. Important teachings and symbolism are also explained in such a way that allows the sacred words of Lord Krishna to flow naturally, as they did on the Kurukshetra battlefield.
