Northern California Mushroom Foraging | Chanterelles & Matsutake Mushrooms

Описание к видео Northern California Mushroom Foraging | Chanterelles & Matsutake Mushrooms

We've been foraging in Napa Country for quite some time and specifically on Howell Mountain which is on the North Eastern side of Napa Valley. December seems to be the month when we get the best results and normally we go on Christmas day. This time we chose Dec 8th which turned out to be a really good time to forage this year with this years rain and weather patterns.

In all we foraged about 12 pounds of amazing wild mushrooms that included some beautiful white Chanterelles, Matsutake, and some lovely edible Amanitas known as Coccora's or Amanita calyptroderma.

There were dozens of other species up there but as a rule we never eat anything that isn't incredibly easy to identify. Also, this is not any sort of advice in regards to properly identifying mushrooms and we only ever suggest going out with a trained professional.

Enjoy the video!!!!
