The Bhagavad Gita is a 700-verse Sanskrit scripture that is part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. The Gita is the best known and most famous of Hindu texts with a unique pan-Hindu influence. His chariot driver is the god Vishnu, who has taken the form of Krishna. Krishna sees Arjuna quitting and begins to persuade Arjuna that he should stick to his duty as a warrior and engage the enemy. The Bhagavad Gita is presented as a conversation between Arjuna and Krishna, a man and a god, a seeker and a knower.



धर्मक्षेत्र...कुरुक्षेत्र से श्रीमद्भगवद् गीता के रूप में दुनिया को दिया श्रीकृष्ण का संदेश...कर्म के गूढ़ रहस्य और उसकी प्रधानता के महत्व को सरल शब्दों में बयां करता है...। गीता के जरिए कर्मयोग दर्शन का संदेश भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने करीब पांच हजार साल पहले कुरुक्षेत्र के युद्धक्षेत्र में दिया था...इसलिए इस पावन भूमि को नमन करने के लिए श्रद्धालु देश-दुनिया से सालभर यहां आते रहते हैं। खासतौर पर गीता जयंती के मौके पर कुरुक्षेत्र का कण-कण कृष्णमय हो जाता है।
