Did I just create a new way to get quick nebari?

Today we're looking at two more ways to create good nebari in a young tree. One is tried and tested, and the other one I just came up with. Will it work? Probably not. But we'll find out soon!

I don't want to spoil my reasons for being a little skeptical of my own idea, so we can discuss it in the comments. I'm sure you guys will get it right away.
