While we often hear about the early American colonies of Jamestown and Plymouth, the earliest European settlement on the east coast was the colony of Roanoke. Although this colony had lots of difficulty getting off the ground which led to its leader, John White, traveling back to England for more supplies. But when he returned, everyone had disappeared without a trace. This begs the question, what happened to the colony of Roanoke?
