When working with soft pastels and pastel pencils, it's very likely that you will work in multiple layers to complete your artwork. This short and sweet video will quickly show you how having a thick & heavy base layer of soft pastel pigment vs a thin & light layer can effect your pastel pencil details layered on top. I'll also show you 7 different brands of pastel pencils on top, with both hard and light pressures.
