NYUAD CANDIDATE WEEKEND CLASS OF 2022 ED1

Hi! Hola! Bonjour! 你好！こんにちは！

I'm Koki Ajiri, a freshman at NYU Abu Dhabi! I've made this video to record the most magical weekend of my life, and to share it with you: fellow applicants and friends.

A quick intro about myself:
I'm Japanese by birth but have been living in Shanghai, China for 14 years and picked up French and Spanish by living with host families abroad during summers.

NYUAD has been my dream school since when I was a high school sophomore, so I had been fanboying everything "NYUAD". Perhaps just like you, I've watched every single YouTube video tagged "CW", "Candidate Weekend" or "NYUAD" before applying to the university. So I was in your shoes ;)

It was a tough decision settling on applying to NYUAD because it presents a completely different experience. It's nowhere near the traditional American college experience. I mean, I never thought that I'd be going to college on a desert island in the Middle East, nor did I expect to be surrounded by peers from 115+ different countries...But that idea thrilled me. After two years of wavering, I decided to apply Early Decision on Nov.1st 2017, and received an invitation to CW on Nov.15th, which took place from Dec.7th to Dec.10th (I screamed like a little girl when I saw the CW invite e-mail). And I hope this video serves to give you a glimpse of what'll happen on campus during the most amazing weekend in your life.
