This fender is very similar to Tahoe, Sierra, Escalade, and Yukon trucks and SUVs.
These are not your typical fenders, they have an inner fender. What's that?! The fender is not just a panel like most vehicles, but rather has a long inner shelf that extends into the engine bay where other components are bolted to the fender. Yes, It can be a pain but we're here to help.

You're only dealing with bolts, so knowing what to take off is key. This video is rather long but we shortened it as much as we could. For the right-passenger side fender, the battery, coolant reservoir, and air intake sit on top of the inner fender or fender shelf. Once these items are removed, you can take off the steel plates they sit on-off.

After this step, the only thing attached to the fender should be the hood hinge, fender liner, and headlight. The headlight and fender liner is pretty standard when changing a fender. GMC-Chevy decided to create the fender so large that the hood hinge has to bolt onto the fender. This is not typical for most vehicles. You have to prop the hood up to remove the hood hinge bolt.

Finally, remove all the bolts holding the fender to the frame, and you are almost done. Now, you have to transfer any hardware from the old fender to the new and work your way backward to install the new fender.
