Hill, a one-time duet partner with Michael Jackson and a clear frontrunner in the competition was knocked off in a shocking final eight elimination round and a moment that made the three people sitting in my apartment yell "WHAT?!" at the TV.
Everyone looked like they'd just watched a kitten get run over when Carson Daly announced Holly Tucker as the final save of the night, sending the two Team Adam starlets packing.
Tonight showed us a few things: The country vote is incredibly strong. The fact that the Swon Brothers, Danielle Bradbery and Holly Tucker are all still in this competition (and didn't split votes?!) is clear evidence of this.
America also loves quirky Michelle, despite her shortcomings in terms of vocal range and ability.
Heading into the final six performance it really could be anyone's game. You've got to think Sasha is the front runner but at this point, why not Michelle? Why not Amber? Just please....please...not the Swon Brothers.
