Jennifer and Jack bring Abigail back to the hospital to have Carly check on her. Carly asks them questions regarding Abigail's symptoms and Jack blows up at his mother when she confesses that she brought abigail to the park and let her play with another child who had a cold. Meanwhile, two nurses are checking on Vivian and notice that her legs appear as if she has been putting weight on them but assume that it must be caused from her medication. One of the nurses starts talking about Carly and how much doubt she has in Carly's 'passionate concern' for her patients, much to Vivian's delight.
Jack continues to overreact about Abigail and grills Carly, who says she acted in Abigail's best interest. Maggie Horton overhears the nurses talking about Carly and her dead patients and goes to talk to Mickey. Mickey then goes to Dr. Tom Horton and brings up his concern about the gossip going around about Carly's patients. Carly tries to bring Abigail's fever down while Jack and Jennifer remain helpless.
