If you are in St. George's, head out to Mama Angie's to get an amazing version of this local classic. A popular lunch spot among locals, Mama Angie's is open for both breakfast and lunch, serving hearty omelettes, sandwiches and burgers alongside Bermudian favorites. It sits behind a shuttered door in the Hall Building on York Street, at the corner of King Street across from Somers Garden. The basic fish sandwich recipe is mostly the same island-wide: deep-fried fillets of fish with tartar sauce piled on raisin bread toast. Sounds a bit weird, but it is strangely scrumptious!
