The Partagas brand dates back to 1845, when Don Jaime Partagás founded his eponymous cigar factory in Havana.

Over time, Partagás became one of Cuba's flagship marques, with rich and bold cigars such as the Lusitanias and its iconic Serie D line.

The revival of the Salomón shape began in 1996, when German cigar merchant Christopher Wolters asked the Partagás fábrica to produce 100 humidors of 50 cigars in the double-figurado form.

Later, it entered as an exclusive La Casa del Habano offering in 2008.

The Salomón is a double figurado or double perfecto shape: both ends are tapered. This is one of the most intricate, demanding formats in cigar making.
