Honeysuckle - "Be Good Or Be Gone" (Fionn Regan)

Several years ago Laurie and Katelyn Shook, of the band Shook Twins, introduced me to the music of Fionn Regan. I was immediately hooked. Learning some of his songs (which meant adapting them considerably at times) really pushed me into an increased interest in fingerpicking and opened up many new chords and harmonic textures, things I still use in my writing to this day. The End of History is an album that still lives in my car. It's one of my most listened to records and "Be Good or Be Gone" is one of my favorite songs. It's a song I've been playing since I was probably 15 and the last verse can still make me feel choked up. I picture flying high over my home town. It also reminds me of a quote written in my makeshift high school yearbook, "do good things or be gone."
