In reviewing the tablets across the market, there were 3 tablets that stood out from the rest:

#3 -- FNF iFive X2
At #3 is the FNF iFive X2.
FNF have quickly developed a reputation for quality tablets and the X2 reinforces this.
The iFive X2 is powered by a Rockchip 3188 quadcore processor with a Mali-400 GPU, 2gb RAM, and features an 8.9-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1200. This equates to a 254 PPI which is the equivalent of a retina display, meaning you get a vivid picture with crisp colour reproduction.
On the tablet you'll find a physical volume rocker, standard Headphone and Micro-USB Jacks and MicroSD card slot are built into the tablet, however the X2 utilises a Micro HDMI out port instead of the more standard Mini HDMI out.
The higher-res screen makes everything look excellent and all of the details really pop. If you are coming from a 10.1" 1280x800 device or especially from a 7" 1024x600 you will really notice a difference in image quality due to the higher resolution panel.

#2 - PIPO M7 Pro

Coming in at #2 is the PIPO M7 Pro
The PIPO M7 Pro has similar specs to the FNF iFive X2. The M7 Pro is powered by a Rockchip 3188 quadcore processor with a Mali 400 GPU.
The tablet has 2GB of RAM, 16GB ROM and features an 8.9-inch PLS display with a display resolution of 1920 x 1200 -- equal to 254 PPI and therefore classed as retina display.
The PIPO M7Pro's killer feature is, without doubt, the screen. Colors are rich, vivid and eye-popping at times. The 8.9-inch PLS panel produced by Samsung is the key feature for this tablet, with rich, vivid colours, great viewing angles and an overall bright, sharp display.
All the ports, slots and hardware controls sit on the top edge of the device, including an ESC button, a Power/standby key, a 2.5mm DC connector, a mini HDMI port, a Micro USB data port, a Micro USB host port, 3.5mm headphone jack as well as MicroSD card slot.
The only potential design drawback that may put some people of the M7 Pro is the absence of physical volume rockers and ESC button.
If you can overlook these, the M7 Pro carries a number of attractive additional features including GPS and Bluetooth and a battery life of 8-9 hours of standard usage.

#1 - RAMOS I9
At #1 is the Ramos i9.
Intel has recognised it has been late to the party in the mobile market and has now made it's intentions very clear to grow it's share in this space.
The Ramos i9 is driven by an Intel Atom Z2580 Dual-Core 2.0GHz CPU with a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU.
It has an 8.9-inch Samsung PLS 1920 x 1200 display, with great viewing angles and reproduces vibrant colours.
The Ramos i9 has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. There is also a microSD slot to expand your memory capability should you desire.
From a design perspective, the Ramos i9 features Rear stereo speakers, USB charging
7000 mAh battery, Dual Camera Front 2.0MP Back 5.0MP
There are a couple of factors here that separate the Ramos i9 from the rest of the pack. The Intel CPU, the I/O speed and the flash memory.
From a connectivity perspective, Wifi performance for the Ramos i9 is strong, and the tablet has the latest Bluetooth 4.0 for connecting relevant Bluetooth devices.
