Описание к видео Fender Modern Player Dimension Bass - REVIEW!

My first electric bass review! If you like what you see and hear, please leave a like and/or subscribe to my channel. Expect to see more uploaded videos on anything and everything to do with audio and music. I’d also love to hear your thoughts on this video, so leave a comment down below! I might’ve missed details or overlooked some features.

Her name is Olympia! Still in love with the vintage look, not sure if they make these anymore! And I forgot to mention how harmonically rich this is. Whether it’s DI or plugged into an amp, the sustain usually rings out in a nice bright way. Never really had a bass that’s done this. Also… the blended coils on Position 2 and Position 4 tended to be less noisy than the others. Some hum bucking action happening I guess!

Recorded into ProTools 12. No EQ or magical processing… just wanted to give you guys the honest DI sound. Only thing I did was volume match the different clips, since the combined coils tended to have more output than the individual ones. Playing with medium gauge round wound strings: LM2527 Medium (50-70-85-105), Long & McQuade brand, I believe? DI box used was the ART dPDB Dual Passive Direct Box.

Most of the reviews I see for bass only offer one style of playing, so I thought it’d be insightful to include a few of the most popular: slap bass, finger style pluck, picking with a plectrum.

Thanks for watching and see you next week!
