Delft greets me like a secret whispered in blue and brick. A city that moves at the pace of water, where motors fall silent and the real rhythm comes from footsteps, bicycle bells, and jazz drifting through the air. No motorized vehicles allowed—just canals that mirror the sky and bridges that seem to float between centuries.
I wander through narrow streets stitched together by history, each turn framed by elegant canals and impossibly charming bridges. The water glows softly, reflecting crooked houses.Then there’s the Botenbrug—60 meters of pure character—stretching confidently under the street, a reminder that even in a delicate city, bold things belong.
And the sound—Delft is alive today. A jazz festival spills into the streets, live music echoing between the walls, saxophones and double basses turning alleyways into concert halls. The city swings. It breathes. It dances.

But as I go slowly forward, a question hums louder than the music.
These streets are narrow, intentionally so. Designed for centuries before engines, before mirrors, before handlebars. I think of my motorbike. Would she fit?
