My ALS – 1300 linear amplifier
Would not select 20 m on remote mode
30 m seemed sketchy also

It turns out that two of the control wires from the back of the amp on the remote connectors

Two of those wires were not making connection to the band switch

Due to one issue on the rear board with the 2RJ45 female connectors

The other issue was from the other end of the eight pin dip cable connecting into the CB one control board

Had to replace the cheap 16 pin TIN socket by Sauter, sucking out all 16 pins

Installed a good machine, quality wire wrap type socket

Checked continuity and now all is good back to the RJ45 remote panel

Now putting amplifier back together
