I stopped by Macon Georgia on a road trip from Birmingham Alabama to Savannah Georgia. I was on the lookout for musical landmarks and musical signts in Georgia.

Macon, Georgia calls themselves the city "where soul lives" and they're the birthplace of Otis Redding and Little Richard. They have a statue of Otis Redding in the city and an Allman Brothers Museum called the Big House.

I toured Capricorn Studios, which is an old recording studio that was recently renovated and re-opened for tours. They have a nice museum inside where they feature the famous bands that recorded there, including the Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band and more. They call themselves the birthplace of southern rock.
