Jesus didn’t lose His voice on trial.
He chose silence.

False witnesses spoke.
Accusations piled up.
Lies echoed through the room.

And Jesus stood there—
quiet.

“He gave no answer.”

That should unsettle us.

Because He could’ve defended Himself.
One sentence could’ve ended it.
One truth could’ve collapsed the court.

Pilate knew He was innocent.
→ (Luke 23:4)

So why stay silent?

Because the trial wasn’t about justice.
It was about surrender.

Jesus wasn’t trying to win an argument—
He was fulfilling a mission.

“He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet He opened not His mouth.”
→ (Isaiah 53:7)

Silence wasn’t weakness.
It was obedience.

He let lies speak
so truth could bleed.

He refused self-defense
so mercy could go free.

That’s the part we don’t like.

We want to be understood.
Jesus chose to be crucified.

He didn’t protect His reputation—
He protected prophecy.

So when you’re misunderstood…
when defending yourself feels justified…

Remember this:

Sometimes God isn’t calling you
to explain.
He’s calling you to trust.
