Russia's economy getting crushed as sanctions isolate country

Western sanctions are having a devastating impact on Russia's economy. Its currency, the ruble, has lost about 50 per cent of its value since President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine.

It now takes about 120 Russian rubles to buy $1 U.S. And as those sanctions against the country multiply, more companies are also stopping their business there— from McDonald's to IKEA.

Eric Sorensen reports on the toll this is taking on everyday Russians, as their government tries to sanitize the reality of the situation.
