The Altar Boy Gang Pilot E01 PT1

Altar Boy Gang is a slightly twisted, ironic coming of age story about growing up Catholic. It has always been Diane Gallagher's dream that her son, Sean, be an altar boy. She has been hinting and cajoling him for some time now but Sean has resisted. After an incident that makes her worry about her son burning in Hell for eternity, she puts her foot down and tells Sean he's becoming an altar boy. Little does she know that she's opened up a door to a life of crime.

When they aren't performing their churchly duties, the altar boys at the parish are a gang of hell-raising delinquents. After quietly serving the host or gently swinging incense during Sunday Mass, the Altar Boy Gang is out smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, breaking windows and selling drugs. The Altar Boy Gang follows the characters who work at and attend a Catholic church in an urban Canadian city. A priest starts to question his faith. A parish mother expects everyone around her to be as holy as the pope. Altar boys make drug drops in the confessional booth.

At an awkward stage of life, four boys are bound together by being altar boys. It's a unique club plus the perfect cover for raising hell. Will their life of crime finally catch up with them? Or will a confession and ten Hail Mary's absolve them of all their adolescent sins?
